Easy Spring Makeup Looks
Glowing skin is always in…. In my opinion this is because we are all striving for eternal youth. As we get older and our skin dries out, the ‘glow’ diminishes and, in turn, our skin takes on a more matte appearance.
Here are a couple of looks to create the fresh, springtime glow we all desire.
‘Days at the beach’
Of course above all else sun protection is paramount because…
- Skin cancer is the most common cancer in New Zealand totalling about 82,000 per year compared to 16,000 for all other types of cancer. Our skin cancer rates are the highest in the world.
- UV exposure is responsible for 80% of visible facial ageing.

‘Dress to impress’
Jojoba foundations are the most light weight, yet full cover, dewy foundation. They also have an SPF15 and are perfect applied lightly for everyday or built up as a full cover foundation.
2021’s spring makeup trends are all about colour, which is not for the faint hearted but is super fun! You can brighten up your entire face in a second with a Wendy Hill mineral eye dust; when the light hits your lids at just the right angle, the pigments can’t help but sparkle, and the colours are on point! Gorgeous golds, sultry pinks, “Millionaire” (the name says it all). My personal favourite is Champagne - a beautiful pinky gold that just oozes summertime fun.
Pair this with a swipe of Felt Tip Liner for definition, some Brow Powder to enhance your brows and Duo Blusher/Bronzer to define your cheeks. For this look we’ve also used a subtle amount of Candle Glow in Pearly Pink to highlight the nose, upper cheekbones and cupids bow…pow!
Team with a Runway Lip Gloss like “Chic” to add a bold pop of colour and you’ll be turning heads in all the right ways. As I read recently and loved; “Glow big or go home”!
